Portishead formed in Bristol in 1991, the band are named after the town founder Geoff Barrow grew up. The band are made up of Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons & Adrian Utley. Chase The Tear was originally released in 2009 for Human Rights Day to raise money for Amnesty International. XL Recordings release the track on limited vinyl and the track exudes some sort of feeling, tension expression and freedom that i liken to what i hear in Factory Floor songs but presented and digested in a different manner, analogue, rustic, cinematic, matured, energetic, soft, sculptured, easy and organic. The stark contrast from summer to darker nights of winter are propelled and exhaled within the mood and swing of the track. All proceeds go to Amnesty so choose your outlet here!
