K / D Keep It Deep would proudly like to present a small but suitably affordable festival Meadows In the Mountain hosted in scenic Bulgarian mountains this June. Capturing the essence and feeling to create a very memorable and magic festival organically complimenting the beautifully untouched Bulgarian backdrop.
MITM has grown sincerely keepings its roots shooting for the stars with a line up to appreciate in 2013 proudly hosted by the founders, the Sasse brothers. Music for the festival has a sharp focus on deep house for the evenings as the temperature drops and feet start to move and in the day expect live bands with style and instruments to warm the soul back into the mood.
Meadows In the Mountains return to the beautiful landscapes of Bulgaria to once again recreate the magic mystery and true sense of community that the festival represents. This festival is made by the people that attend not the exquisite line up that is presented to you.
Welcome festival goers, hedonists and those born with a penchant for social experimental adventure. We extend a hand and invite you to embrace our energy ðos of community, inspired by the Bulgarian revolutionaries Vasil Levski and Hristo Botev. Please step gently aboard this flying contraption minding´ your heads and heels as we embark upon a voyage across the seven seas to the very heart of the Rhudopian Mountains, Bulgaria; an untouched and unravished bastion of nature in this harsh world of open busy buildings, urban sprawl and concrete jungles.
Meadows In The Mountains is still very much at one with nature which is evident with every execution of the festival from line up, to food, to camping and all the other small details to make the experience. The size of the festival is small with under 500 people attending last year in glorious sunshine, open fields and brisk mountains.
As people drank, ate locally sourced food and enjoyed all the new experiences on and off the dance floor, this year see’s more of the same with an expectation of building on the community success felt last year. Tickets, flights, food and drink is very cheap so if you are looking for a smaller festival in great surroundings with music which is a bit more discerning than peak time check it out. Line up for 2013 confirmed so far includes Baby Prince, Moomin, Northen Purpose, Demob Happy, Jane Fitz, The Common Tongues, Just Jack, Sebastian Voigt, The Colour Movement, The Priory, Bruno Schmidt, Dead Echo, QVC, Carlos Valdes and many more surprises to come.
The festival is cheap not steep and the overwhelming support and growth in 2013 is testament to the DIY nature, passion, energy and come together feeling the brothers are driving forward with to make this bigger better than ever.
